Dear Family & Friends,
As many of you know Jonathan Hamilton’s chemo treatments have been ineffective and as of two weeks ago the oncologist advised that all chemo and other treatments for the cancer be stopped. Jonathan’s lung transplant doctor who oversees all of Jonathan’s health needs put it this way, “it is time to stop treating the disease and begin treating you.” Jonathan’s liver function continues to decrease. He is retaining fluid and the liver is swollen. He is experiencing more pain and discomfort. At this time Jonathan is in the hospital with renal (kidney) failure – with only 15%-20% functioning. He and Teri have contracted hospice and when he is released from the hospital he will be on hospice care at home. His condition shows no improvement, and he tires easily, but he continues to be pleasant and positive (even with much discomfort) trusting the Lord one day at a time.
Jonathan and Teri continue to pray for the Lord to be glorified through them at this time and appreciate your continued prayers to that end. Please feel free to send a note or card to Jonathan and Teri, as even short visits tire him quickly.
Jonathan & Teri’s Address is: 905 McCurry Ave., Bedford, TX 76022.
Thank you for your love and encouragement.
- Sonja & Dale Hawkins.
“…my grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness. Most gladly therefore, I will rather boast about my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may dwell in me. Therefore I am well content with weaknesses, with insults, with distresses, with persecutions, with difficulties, for Christ’s sake; for when I am weak, then I am strong.” 2 Corinthians 12:9-10
